THE PROGRESSIVE GESSO DIE SYSTEM

The Foundation of Fine Finishing
(Click on each heading to find out more.)

WHAT DOES IT DO?
  - Uniformly builds a controlled mil thickness of Gesso on a moulded product

- Establishes and maintains absolute conformation of the profile throughout the coating process

- Greatly improves product quality, using substantially less material
HOW DOES IT WORK?

  - Moulding profile is CAD generated for CNC machining of all Templates, Gauges and Dies, assuring an engineered steel product with accuracy of +/- .0001" or .0025mm

- Grinding Templates are used to produce the Moulding Knives/Cutters that will profile the wood to the Gauged form and size

- Specific angular hydraulic pressures extrude the Gesso or other high solids material onto the moulding fed through the Dies and coating bath contained by Aluminum Baffles

- Gesso Dies are progressively offset or opened, applying a thin coating (2 wet Mils) of material
WHY IS IT BETTER?

  - No adjustment needed during production

- Specially Treated, Tool Steel Gesso Dies, highly resistant to wear, will maintain established profile for hundreds of thousands of linear meters

- Controlled offsets allow even coating without rub points or excess gapping

- Perfectly machined Dies require no run-in and develop a mirror finish

- Aerospace technology assures repeatability (.002"/.050mm) that is user-friendly

- Moulded and coated wood product will be accurate to +/- .001" or .025mm.

- Cleanly limits or masks edges and creates tight radii and corners.

- Effectively coats Finger-joint and Fiberboard mouldings

- Carbide or Tantung/Stellite dies can be manufactured for difficult applications

- Will reduce the number of coatings required for desired quality
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

  It's Virtually FREE! Here's why:

- The Die Plates require no adjustment for wear, providing greater throughput per day.

- Material (Gesso) savings will rapidly amortize a set of Templates, Dies and Gauge.

- Generally, fewer passes are required to obtain a high-quality coated moulding.
